What are Skin Tags?
Skin tags are a usually harmless growth of skin thought to occur when skin rubs against itself. Thusly they are commonly found in places like your armpits, neck, and groin, where skin often rubs, and they are more common in overweight people. Skin tags are usually painless and do not pose any kind of threat to your health and as such are usually not removed.

How do we treat Skin Tags?
Diagnosis of skin tags is done visually and unless the tag is in an are that causes you discomfort or you don't like the look no treatment is rendered as they are benign and do not continue to grow. If you do have a skin tag that need to be removed we can do so in one of three ways. First by applying a Topical anesthetic to numb the area then cutting it off. We can also use liquid nitrogen to painlessly freeze the tag killing the skin cells and causing them to fall off naturally and with rare and few side effects. Lastly Advanced dermatology can use cauterization to burn of the tag and prevent the tissue from forming any more skin tags.
