What are Age Spots?
Age spots are small painless patches of skin that had become light brown to black. They normally occur on areas with a great deal of exposer to the sun or other sources of ultraviolet light, and are very common in people over 40. They pose no medical threat and are purely cosmetic changes to your appearance. Age spots can be prevented by limiting exposure to sunlight and using sunscreen.

How do we treat Age Spots?
Although no treatment is medically necessary Advanced Dermatology can lighten or remove these age spots if so desired. In most cases the use of skin bleaching creams with hydroquinone will eventually make the age spots almost invisible. If complete and instant restoration is desired we can preform a cryotherapy treatment. To do this we cool the area to -200 celsius with a liquid nitrogen filled probe to destroy the affected tissue.
